Alamo Colleges Foundation Scholarships

Through the generous support of donors, the Alamo Colleges Foundation offers a wide variety of scholarships. Alamo Colleges students submit one general scholarship application each academic year, and they are automatically considered for all Alamo Colleges Foundation scholarships and matched with eligible award opportunities.

The scholarship application opens and closes on the same dates annually for those looking for scholarship opportunities to help with fall, spring, and summer tuition and fees.

Application Opens: January 15

Application Closes: May 15

The scholarship application will reopen for a limited time in September to allow for new applicants to access and apply to any remaining opportunities for a given academic year.

Other scholarships may become available, each with its own requirements and deadlines. We encourage you to review the scholarship listing here throughout the academic year.

Students must be admitted or enrolled at the Alamo Colleges to have an ACES email, which is required to create an account and to apply for scholarships.

Scholarship eligibility is based on various factors such as academic merit, program of study, community service, extracurricular activities, residency, campus/club organization, and/or financial need. Foundation scholarships are awarded and administered without regard to race, sex, color, ethnicity, or national origin. All students are invited to apply for available scholarships.

To help us determine if you are eligible for these scholarships: Applicants are strongly encouraged to complete and submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as soon as possible so eligibility can be determined in a timely manner.

Application Tips:

Invest time in your application. It makes a difference.

- Save a draft of essays, short-, and long-form questions in an external document (Microsoft Word, Notes) before starting on your application so you can run a spell check and word count before submitting.

- Consult with the SAC Writing Center if you need extra guidance or want to participate in writing workshops.

- Women and non-traditional students can reach out to the Empowerment Center to learn about programs and workships.

Get involved. Application review panels like to see that you are engaged in your community.

- Contact Student Life for information about clubs and organizations at SAC doing great work on and off campus.
